ThoughtLeader AI is a Chrome extension that helps you compose professional social media posts, email replies, and thought-leadership content using Chrome's built-in AI (Gemini Nano).

📊 Data Collection

ThoughtLeader AI collects no user data whatsoever. Specifically:

• No personal information is collected (name, email, account details)
• No browsing history or activity is tracked
• No text you type, select, or generate is stored or transmitted
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage metrics are collected
• No cookies or tracking technologies are used

🧠 How AI Processing Works

ThoughtLeader AI uses Chrome's built-in Language Model API (Gemini Nano) to generate content. This means:

• All AI inference runs 100% locally on your device
• No text is sent to any external server, API, or cloud service
• No internet connection is required for AI features to work
• Your prompts, context, and generated content never leave your browser

💾 Local Storage

The extension uses chrome.storage.local (device-only storage) solely for:

• Temporarily caching the page context you're replying to (cleared each session)
• Storing your last-used persona and style preference for convenience

This data never leaves your device and is not synced to any Google account or cloud service. It can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.

🌐 Host Permissions

ThoughtLeader AI requests access to all URLs (<all_urls>) because the content script overlay (the floating "TL" button) and context-aware text scraping need to function on any page where you want to compose — including LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Gmail, and other web-based editors.

This permission is used exclusively to:

• Display the floating "TL" trigger button next to text inputs
• Read surrounding page text to provide contextual AI prompts
• Inject generated drafts back into text editors on the page

No data from any page is transmitted externally.

🤝 Third-Party Services

ThoughtLeader AI does not use any third-party services. There are no external APIs, analytics platforms, ad networks, or data processors involved.

The only external resources loaded are Google Fonts (Inter and Outfit) for typography styling.

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted in the Chrome Web Store listing's version history.
